A Cemetery+crematorium will be located near the detention camp at Bkt Jalil.  The cemetery is 13.97ha (35 acres) and it is segmented accordingly: Muslim(9.6ha),Buddist(3.3ha), Christians (0.5ha) & hindus (0.4ha) & others (0.17) + a crematorium as bonus.

Puff,

I think you are going to have a tough time educating the peoples around Bandar Kinrara, Bandar Bukit Jalil, Jalil Grove and other related areas.

Can you show a location map or perhaps take a snap shot of the sign board if one already up. I have done one for the Detention Camp that is just 200 meters before junction of the Bandar Bukit Jalil sometime ago but no one seem to be interested. I have also posted the photos of wanted sex maniacs and you can checked how many peoples had look at it. If you guys talk about new property sites I would think you will get more participants.

I am not pouring cold water, I would think peoples just don't bother to take any action. Since you have raised the issue I would think you would have realised all those bad consequences. Perhaps you can share with us and see what the interested forumers can assist you in carry out any necessary actions.

I think it will be good if we can use a Google Earth image and marked the proposed site to educate everyone.  Does anyone know exactly where this is?

the proposed/approved cemetery site sits right in the middle of "golden area" surrounded by OUG, Bdr Bkt Jalil, Bdr Kinrara, Mutiara Bkt Jalil, PPR flats at Kg Muhibbah, etc.  opposite of the high way are Alam Sutera & Paragon heights & Kinrara PPR flats - which will have a very good view of it.  It starts somewhere near the Bdr Kinrara Industrial Area (behind Si Kiong Star) all the way to Bdr Bkt Jalil where the high tension power is.  The site plan shows that the total area is abt 40 acres in total.  I havent look at it on GoogleEarth yet but a neighbour of mine has drove to investigate the site based on the plan.  It belongs to DBKL.  This is highlighted in The NSTonline 27/11/07 "plantation families lose homes" and "From wet to eerie for Tamil school". I first read about this on 20/11/07 The Star Metro section "School to make way for cemetery".
This is absolutely insane.

Someone please highlight this issue to the State Assemblyman and MP and let them know that Teresa Kok might be coming to Puchong and if they do not do anything to help us, we, the voters will know what to do.

Is Malaysia so short of land for them to think of such a plan??  I am sure there are lots of other places where a cemetery can be placed.  It is different if the cemetery existed and otrher development encroaches on it.  To develop a cemetery next to existing high density resendential zones will certainly be unpopular.  Town planners in Malaysia must start playing Sim City game to learn how unpopular such a decision will be with the population.

Puff,

Don't bother to do the Google Map. At first I was thinking educate you to extract images from Google Earth but has wiped off the idea beacuse Google Map is historical. It might not clearly show the location.

I have done a map below and it clearly indicates the location of SRJK (T) Ladang Bukit Jalil and the Sri Rakyat Apartment that is besdie the Puchong-Sungei Besi Lebuhraya. The Detention Camp is beside Sri Raykat Apartment, therefore beside the Retention Camp stretching towards SRJK (T) Ladanag Bukit Jalil will be the location for the coming Cemetery-Crematorium. I think it might stretches to cover area of existing Indian Cemetery.

If the Cemetery is going to be located here I would think those souls that are going to migrate here will not rest in peace because of the dense living population around them.

Note: Many new housing and shop lots projects are under construction near the Cemetery-Crematorium site. Map was done quite sometime ago.

See a better map on reply #303

The cemetary near the Bdr Bukit Jalil Flats has been in the DBKL plan for some time (> 2years) already. It is shown in a few publicly available DBKL masterplan. That is why I never bother to see the launching around that area.

I too aware of the cemetery planning in the master plan but I didn't know it is of such big scale and it also include a crematorium.  It is absolutely out of any one's mind to locate a crematorium in the middle of a densely populated area!  what on earth the so called town planners are doing!  Is it for convenience sake?! >:(
